Came up for an overnight stay recently. Saw this come up on the Hyatt portfolio and thought we’d try a new place. The place gives you more of a bed and breakfast feel - and it def needs a refresh… peeling paint and loose boards at a few places on the property. This is one of the very best ryokan style b&bs in the US. The architecture resembles a quiet, elegant ryokan in Kyoto... The suite is wonderfully designed - even with a zen garden and place to relax with trees and flowers. The accommodations here were fantastic to enjoy! Even in a winter storm! We enjoyed going out to the hot tub in the rain and enjoying the sounds of the trees and rain coming down. The pool is heated and while we don’t dip in it was definitely an option!
